4. Who do we share your data with?

We rely on technical service providers (called processors) to operate the service. Each of them is bound by a Data Processing Agreement requiring them to process your data only on our instructions and with appropriate security.

Provider Role Country Safeguards
Apple Inc. Authentication (Sign in with Apple), App Store, payments, push notifications USA + Europe Data Privacy Framework + Standard Contractual Clauses
Google LLC (Firebase) Authentication, database, storage, usage analytics, notifications, hosting of our public legal pages USA + Europe Data Privacy Framework + SCCs

Google Workspace Hosting of our contact email (info@neziakstudio.com) USA Data Privacy Framework + SCCs

We do not sell your personal data and never share it with other third parties for commercial purposes.

One note about our consent tool. The tool we use to present your privacy choices (Google User Messaging Platform) is only distributed as part of Google's advertising software kit. That kit is therefore technically present in the app, but it is configured never to activate: no advertising is displayed in Taiji, and the app contains no ad space.

5. International transfers of your data

Some of our providers are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the European Union.

For these transfers, we rely on:

If you'd like a copy of these safeguards, write to info@neziakstudio.com.

At the end of these retention periods, your data is either permanently deleted or anonymized.

7. Your rights

Under applicable regulations, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

How to exercise your rights

By email: write to info@neziakstudio.com. Specify your request and include proof of identity if necessary.

In the app: two actions are directly in your hands.

Response time: one month maximum, extendable by two months if your request is complex (we'll let you know).

Right to complain: if you believe your rights aren't being respected, you can file a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (see Appendices based on your country of residence).

8. Security of your data

We put in place technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

In the event of a data breach presenting a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will inform you as soon as possible, and notify the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours.

9. Your choices: privacy, notifications, analytics, and advertising

9.1 How you make your choices

We present your privacy choices during onboarding, before any of the collection they cover begins. Two purposes are offered, each adjustable independently of the other:

Purpose What it covers
Usage analytics Understanding how the app is used, so we can improve it (Firebase Analytics)
Advertising and attribution Knowing whether you discovered Taiji through one of our ads (Meta SDK, IDFA)

You can change your choices at any time, purpose by purpose, from the Settings > Privacy screen in the app. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and has no effect on your access to the service. Closing the choice screen without selecting anything does not count as acceptance.

Depending on where you live, this works differently:

We keep a record of your choices (purposes accepted or declined, date, version of the text shown). This is a legal requirement: we must be able to demonstrate that your consent was properly obtained.

9.2 Push notifications

During onboarding, we offer to enable a daily practice reminder. This consent is requested via iOS's native prompt. You can withdraw it at any time from your iPhone's Settings > Notifications > Taiji.

9.3 Usage analytics (Firebase Analytics)

To understand how our app is used and improve it, we use Firebase Analytics. The collected data is:

This measurement relies on your consent to the "usage analytics" purpose described in section 9.1. You can withdraw it at any time from Settings > Privacy, or by writing to info@neziakstudio.com.

9.4 Ad tracking (App Tracking Transparency)

We use the Meta SDK to measure the effectiveness of our ad campaigns (for instance, to know whether you discovered Taiji through an Instagram ad). This measurement relies on IDFA, the advertising identifier provided by your iPhone.

In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, it only happens if two conditions are met: you have accepted the "advertising and attribution" purpose in section 9.1, and you have accepted the "App Tracking Transparency" prompt displayed by iOS. If either one is missing, no data is transmitted to Meta.

If you decline, no individualized ad tracking takes place. We can then only use aggregated, anonymous measurements, via Apple's SKAdNetwork.

This purpose covers attribution measurement only. We do not build an advertising profile about you, and we do not serve personalized advertising.

10. Minors

The Taiji app is reserved for people 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, contact us at info@neziakstudio.com: we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy to reflect:

In the event of a substantial change, we'll notify you via in-app notification and/or email. The current version, with its last updated date, is always available at:

Our Terms of Use are available at https://legal.taiji.neziakstudio.com/en/terms.

Sale and sharing of your information

We do not sell your personal information. We also do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising without your explicit consent.

How to exercise your opt-out

The Settings > Privacy screen in the app is the designated opt-out channel for California residents. It lets you turn off usage analytics and advertising and attribution at any time, independently of each other. No prior step or proof of identity is required, and exercising this right does not affect your access to the service.

You may also write to us at info@neziakstudio.com with the subject "CCPA Request".
